The keyboard and touchpad have always worked perfectly. This laptop comes with a battery that has worked very well for a few years it is not the original battery, as I had to replace that a few years ago. (I removed the hard drive for security reasons.) The original screws to secure the hard drive to the laptop, and to secure the cover plate over the hard drive, are included. Therefore, it does not have an operating system anymore. This includes the original power cord, but DOES NOT HAVE A HARD DRIVE ANYMORE. I have always had a smoke-free, pet-free home and have taken excellent care of this laptop, always storing it inside a laptop bag to protect it from dust, etc. Network controller: Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx GB, Wifi-compatible (Intel Wifi Link 5300 802.11 a/g/n 3x3) Manufacture-installed CD/DVD player (8X DVD+/-RW w/ Roxio and Cyberlink PowerDVD) Screen size: 15.4" widescreen, anti-glare LCD panel Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 2.53GHz I used it as my primary computer for less than two years, and since then it has been very lightly used. I am the original owner of this Dell Latitude E5500 laptop, which I purchased in 2010.
