Open the file in its new format and check it, as before, for any inaccuracies resulting from the conversion process.My experience is that using files on both MS Office and LibreOffice is at least as compatible between using MS Office files on different versions of MS Office! For simple documents, spreadsheets, and presentations, the compatibility is quite high with MSO and LibO, in fact. To use the file with Excel, choose "Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 XML." To use the file with OpenOffice or LibreOffice Calc, select "ODF Spreadsheet" format.Įdit the name of the spreadsheet, if you wish, then click "Save" to save the new version. Select or create a folder for your Quattro Pro spreadsheet, then click the "Filetype" pull-down menu near the bottom of the dialog box. Either method will open the "Save As" dialog box. Alternatively, click "File" and then "Save As" from the menu bar. Hold down "Ctrl-Shift" on your keyboard and press the "S" key. Edit the sheet as necessary to eliminate any inconsistencies resulting from the conversion. Review the spreadsheet to ensure that the formatting, data and formulas have been properly translated. Locate your Quattro Pro spreadsheet using the file browser in the Open File dialog box, then click "Open." Click the "Open" icon on the toolbar, near the top left of your screen. Launch OpenOffice Calc or LibreOffice Calc, the spreadsheet program for the corresponding suite.
